What is up everyone I am back and it’s time to chat about the state of semi-pro specifically in Indiana, we will talk more about other stuff, and as we all know feelings might get hurt, I don’t try too I am going to be honest, other members of the media try to be honest and people get upset, and I always try to deliver the facts but most of all it’s my opinion so take it for what you want, that being said let’s talk about what is going on with the semi-pro football in Indianapolis.
Where do we start…it seems to have blown up, some could say for better some would say for worse it, depends on who you ask, and it could wind up being one big shit show, I digress let’s get into it.
Teams….
Let’s talk about teams, in Indiana. Boy oh boy do we have a ton of teams in just in Indianapolis, at the time I am writing this news came across that the Indiana Cutter closed up shop, now I have not confirmed this report at this time. Let’s start with what we do know.
The biggest new team addition to Indianapolis is none other than the Indy Bison, owned by the Grind Hard aka Justin, the Bison are doing everything right from top to bottom and are the talk of the town for sure. They are sure to make a splash and are coming into the season and the MCFL gunning for a championship and are one of the favorites to win the league. They are recruiting heavy and with ties to the former Marion County Crusaders and adding some big names in the semi-pro world Indy. In other big news the newly formed team the Indy Jags on an unexpected move merged with the long time semi pro franchise Indiana Tornadoes who have been around for a long time but have not had the best seasons the last few years, making it to the championship games 2 of the last 3 years and losing and making a late playoff run in 2022 and losing, is this a move that will benefit them adding some veteran staff to the organization and is the rebranding what they needed, and word is that they are going to the PFA is that a good move, with what seems to shaping up to be a pretty competitive league we shall see what happens in 2023 when the season starts.
Fort Wayne Tigers who also rebranded from the previous name Wolverines, are also going to the MCFL (rebranded from the BGFL, more in in my section league preview) coming out of a very tough UFL league getting to the conference championship game and losing a close one to the eventual UFL champs the Motor City Outlaws, look to make another championship run with some key players returning and some players coming back they are sure to be a contender, and have a rivalry with Lake County Warriors, and no doubt will start one with the Bison as the battle of cities that rivals the one of the Indy Fuel and Ft Wayne Komets.
That is all for part 1, look for the continued break down of teams and I will give my personal rankings going into the new season of the Indiana teams as well as how teams will finish in their respective leagues, I will also break down the leagues who is legit and who is not.
