Indy Firehawk’s silence critics and definitely didn’t get that memo that United sent out, and punch ticket to the Sunshine Bowl in Miami.

From the Press Box

The Indy Firehawk’s went to Atlanta to play in the Dirty Bowl for a chance to go to the Sunshine Bowl in Miami Florida next month and they were for sure the underdogs in this matchup, in fact they have been all year since week one of the season, this their first season as a team to be exact and they have been on a roll since week one with some bumps along the way, but have blazed the path to the Sunshine Bowl in Miami, Florida.

The road has seemed to be easy for the Firehawk’s as they have won three games to get there and have outscored their opponents 60-18 in a matter of three games, the road started with the Port City Spartans, where they came out with a 20-6 win, then on to the Winchester Ducks who Indy put away 28-6 and to the game that had so much hype and for sure portrayed the Firehawk’s to be underdogs leading up to the Dirty Bowl they would take on the Baltimore United, an all-star team that is correct I said All-Star team made up teams in and around the Baltimore area, and the United team had all the momentum of trash talk going into this game, and that is about all they had, and the message that they sent to the Indy receivers before the game, didn’t affect the Firehawk’s at all. In fact, it was the total opposite, the United allowed 30 plus points and only scored once, Indy sealed their bid to go to the Sunshine Bowl.

The Firehawk’s will face the Capital City Seahawks who earned their bid by winning in double OT versus the Cincinatti Dukes 6-0.
