Press Box Report

We are through week 4 and we still have two undefeated teams, and we head into week 5 of the season and that will be the mid-way point of the 2023 season.

Now we look at the week 5 MCFL power rankings.

#1 Indy Bison (4-0) 42 vs #8 Falcons (0-3) 6

Well, the trash talk that had started before week 1 ended as soon as the Falcon’s stepped on the field to play the Bison and it was a quick one-sided score for the Bison, I can’t be too hard on the Falcons they deserve huge credit for making the trip to Indy and playing 4 quarters of football and jumping in the post season conditioning work out that the Bison do after the game.

The Bison will host the Racine Raiders (GDFL) this being a bye week for them in the MCFL and a league game for the Raiders. The Falcons are on a bye this week.

#2 Bird Gang (4-0) 10 vs #4 LCW (2-1) 0

Now LCW have been the only team this season to not only challenge the Bird Gang and hold them to just 10 points for 4 quarters, so the game had to be a game of chess between these two teams. Bird Gang travel to the Hurricanes in week 5. LCW goes to the Lions..

#3 Lions (Forfeit Win) 28-0

Lions got a extra week of rest and a win so they will take on the LCW in week. 5.

#5 FTW Tigers (BYE)

Tigers had yet another week off and will finally have a game in week 5 as they host the Sharks.

#7 Hurricanes (2-2) 24 vs #10 Bucs (0-3) 0

The Hurricanes get back in the win column with a win over the ever-struggling Bucs who are looking at the first win of the season from a forfeit next week, but a win is a win especially for this team, Canes will have their hands full when they host Bird Gang.

#5 Sharks (2-1) 34 vs #9 Indy Assassins (0-3) 12

The Sharks beat the Assassin’s 34-12 pretty easily they will travel to take on the FTW Tiger’s and the Assassins will have to make the long trip to play the Falcons.
