From the Press Box

It is that time it is finally here, the moment we have all been waiting for. Knowing that football season is almost over. Just kidding The MCFL Conference Championship

We start with the South Conference

At the time of this article was being posted no ruling on the shit show of a game between Sharks & Falcons had been made so with that being said one of these teams will be facing off vs the Indy Bison, in the South Conference Championship game @ Arlington High School on 8/19 @ 7p.m.

Let’s take a look at how these teams got to this point.

Bison pretty much rolled through the season beating all of their opponents by double digits, including both of the Sharks and the Falcons scoring a combined. 81-0 shutting down both teams, the only two teams that gave the Bison issues this year were the Bird Gang who had to take the game into OT to beat them, and of course the game of the year vs LCW in closing seconds of regulation the Bison kicker walks it off with a FG.

Falcons had a record of 6-4 and while a win is a win most of those came off forfeits from teams that folded, to no fault of their own. the actual games they did win were versus the Lions and the Bucs, they did get on a win streak in the middle of the season, losses came to Tigers, Bison, Sharks (2) although the games versus the Sharks were very close battles.

Sharks went 5-5 on the year with victories over the Falcons (2), Assassins, forfeit wins over T-Hawks, Tigers. Losses coming from the Bison, Tigers, Bird Gang (2) and LCW.

Overall, the Sharks and the Falcons had a very tough schedule and finishing where they did is not a bad thing, they had a big travel schedule and for the most part they travelled better than some other teams and showed up to the travel games.

Northern Conference

Bird Gang vs Hurricanes

The Bird Gang no doubt a national championship team and would do good in any league so them making it to the conference finals is no Suprise to me, and to face the only team that gave them a tie will make for a great game, will they be tested again, I think they will for sure, the Canes have been on a roll as of late and are one of the sleepers of the season and have shown that they are better than what most thought they were, can they shock the world and beat the BG? I think that they have a good chance to do that if they show up and play a heads-up game and keep emotions in check. One thing I have not seen a lot of is BG in the drama, meaning I have not heard too much about BG getting into scuffles etc., doesn’t seem that they are rattled easy and appear to be very disciplined which not a lot of teams can say that.

That will do it for the Conference Championship preview will see who makes it to the big game, once I hear the ruling on the teams mentioned above, I will update the information.
