Komets get first shootout win in a long time.

The Fort Wayne Komets got the overtime shootout win after being down 2-0 early on at this year’s annual Bob Chase Memorial Game vs the Iowa Heatlanders.

The Komet’s would get on the board at 13:20 in the 1st with a goal from Matt Wedman, and again @ 15:00 into the 1st with a goal from Ture Lindon on assist from Szydlowski to tie the game up going into the 2nd period.

 

The 2nd Period would stay equal as game would be tied going into the 3rd period until 5:46 when Komets would take the lead with a goal from Morgan Adams-Mosian, game would not stay that way long as the Heartlanders would tie the game thus sending it to OT, and OT would end going into a shootout.

The Komets would get on the board first from Shawn Szydlowski, Iowa would tie it up on the 2nd attempt and Komets would again score from #8 Jack Dugan and Iowa would get stopped on the next shot giving the Komets the shootout win.
